Break the Bias: Addressing Implicit and Subconscious Bias

Training Objectives:

At the end of this training, participants are expected to:

• identify and explain at least three types of implicit biases (e.g., affinity bias, confirmation bias, gender bias) and provide examples of how they manifest in the workplace;

• assess their own potential biases using a self-assessment tool and develop at least two strategies for reducing bias in their personal and professional interactions; and

• apply the concept of inclusive decision-making in real-world scenarios by recognizing how unconscious bias influences decisions and proposing solutions for mitigating its effects.
