Conflict Resolution and Difficult Conversations in the Workplace

Training Objectives:

At the end of this training, participants are expected to:

  • apply at least three conflict resolution strategies (e.g., negotiation, mediation, collaboration) in a simulated workplace conflict scenario and demonstrate their effectiveness in resolving the issue;

  • identify and differentiate between five common communication styles (e.g., assertive, passive, aggressive, passive-aggressive, and manipulative) and demonstrate how to respond appropriately to each style in difficult conversations; and

  • develop a structured action plan for handling future difficult conversations, incorporating techniques like active listening, empathy, and assertiveness to ensure productive outcomes.
